After running three Welsh Language Groups over the past months, these groups have now been merged into one – a Welsh Language Culture and History Special Interest Group. This meets usually fortnightly on a Thursday afternoon and usually at the High Street Methodist Centre. It consists of learners (who by now have developed a good understanding of the language) and a small number of fluent Welsh speakers. Some of our future meetings will be aimed at the further development of fluency in reading and in conversation and some will focus on subjects of mutual interest in Welsh culture and history. U3A members who already have some knowledge of the language are encouraged to make contact to see whether they wish to join.
See U3A Matters - Latest News for more information about the group.
