We are a new group. We decided not to follow particular genres; instead each book is chosen by a group member at a planning meeting. We then source our own books, making best use of the library and secondhand book shops when we can. We read one book a month. Inevitably some books will give rise to more discussion than others and not everyone will enjoy every book. But that is what makes for lively debate and discussion.
