Croquet Group

The U3A Croquet Group play on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 2pm and 4 pm.

Members of Witney U3A first started playing with the Eynsham Croquet Club in 1998 and some of those members are still playing!

Golf croquet is easy to learn and can be enjoyed by all abilities, it does not take long to be able to enjoy the sociable friendly games we play. A partner is not needed and we try to ensure that beginners are playing with more experienced players to guide them.

Croquet in the Snow

Although generally viewed as a summer game, we actually play throughout the year, weather and court conditions permitting. We always try to play in all weathers and - unlike cricket - rain or snow does not stop play. But we do prefer sunnier weather!

Croquet in Action

Equipment is provided, although it is requested only that players wear flat-soled shoes.

The cost is £6 per session for U3A members; free for the first three sessions.
