We are quite an informal and friendly group who usually play doubles, with pairs forming between matches on an ad-hoc basis. Our members tend to be reasonably competent players, many of whom first played the game in Youth Clubs too many years ago to remember! We don’t compete in any leagues and while things aren’t taken too seriously, each game is fiercely contested. Bragging rights are up for grabs but the whole point is to simply enjoy playing! Breaks between games not only provide time for recuperation, but also to catch up on all the local news.
